A former Jacksonville, Florida teacher pleaded guilty on October 17, to engaging in sexual relations with two of his students. The teacher has been identified as Corey French, 31, he was a science teacher at Fletcher High School students in Florida. An investigation began on Corey in March when authorities were first notified of his relationship with two former Fletcher High School students. Corey was fired by the Duval County School District during this time.

A disgraced Ohio middle school teacher who was convicted of having sex with a year-old student inside a locked classroom has walked free from prison after just one year — following two failed attempts to be released early, officials revealed. Former Miamisburg Middle School teacher Jessica Langford was convicted of having sex with a year-old eighth-grader in her classroom and was sentenced Tuesday to one year in prison — a rarity in such Montgomery County cases. The Marx sentence was one both sides in the Langford case cited in their punishment requests for her. There are similarities and differences between the Langford and Marx cases. Both are Chaminade Julienne and University of Dayton graduates who had positive early career job performance reviews, though Langford did have disciplinary issues in recent years.
